Saturday 27th May saw the sun shining as 21 members of the Eastern Region wound their way to The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at the former WW ll, RAF bomber base at East Kirkby, now the home of the Avro Lancaster, NX611 ‘Just Jane’. With Mat as the ‘pathfinder’ and Kev as ‘Tail End Charlie’, we set off in some style, however, navigational errors and heavy traffic soon saw our formation split into small groups, we eventually re-grouped just short of the target and made our run in, in, perfect formation.
