DESCRIPTION:Sunday 5th April 2026:     Pageant of Transport – Weston-Super-Mare.\n \nVenue: Beach Lawns\, Weston-super-Mare\, Somerset\, BS23 1AT\nTime: 08:00 – 17:00 (Cars need to be on site by 09:30)\nMeeting Point: TBA\nDepart: TBA\nArrival on site no later than 09:30 \nThe event runs over two days – the 4th and 5th of April 2026\, SWM will be attending as a club on the 5th only. \nFor the facebook event details about the Pageant click here\n\nThe event is situated on the beach lawns in Weston-super-Mare right next to the seafront. Traditionally it has been a show for classic cars but as its Pageant of Transport they would like to see a whole variety of transport options. Cars\, motorbikes\, tractors\, lorries\, buses & military vehicles. Anything of interest is certainly welcome. \nThe event is run by and in aid of which is Weston-super-Mare Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets. \nTickets are on sale now via the web site below on a first come first served basis.\nThere is also an option to buy a commemorative plaque (£7.50) online with your entry tickets\, the commemorative plaques will be available to pick up at the Sea Cadets tents over the event day so just bring a copy of your ticket so we can hand over your plaque to you. \nNote: The pageant is over two days so make sure you select tickets for SUNDAY 5th April. You need to put SWM MX5 Owners Club in the car club box to be parked with the club. \nPlease order your tickets online at\nhttps://www.ticketebo.co.uk/wsmseacadets/pageant-of-transport-2026 \nPlease take time to select the correct ticket option for your day that you want to attend and which vehicle you are bringing as we cannot issue refunds on the tickets due to the low cost of them. If you do encounter any mistakes or a change of circumstances and need to bring a different vehicle please make contact at the earliest opportunity by email. \nCommemorative Plaque\nAfter clicking Buy Now you will be given the option to purchase a commemorative plaque with the proceeds going to the Sea Cadets. DESCRIPTION:Greenwoods Classic . \nThis is a non club event that is open to all. It is a general car meet of pre 1980 cars plus an impressive private collection of Fire Engines. \nWe park in the visitors car park to enjoy the show. A Cafe is available for the purchase of food and drinks. \nThe show will not take place during the winter months of it is wet or snowing.

DESCRIPTION:The Carpetbagger Aviation Museum was formed in 1993 for the 50th Anniversary reunion of the USAAF’s 801st / 492nd Bomb Group (The Carpetbaggers) at Harrington. It is housed in the Group Operations Building on the Administration Site of the former Station 179 airfield at Harrington\, Northamptonshire\, England. The Museum is administered by members of the Harrington Aviation Museum Society\, a Registered Charity No 1061997 \nDisplays and exhibits within the museum depict the history of the airfield and vividly show the work carried out by the 801st (Provisional) / 492nd Bomb Group\, especially during Operation Carpetbagger\, and their secret missions to deliver agents and supplies to resistance groups in Occupied Europe during the Second World War \nOther exhibits and displays include the secret work of the British Special Operations Executive from their RAF base at Tempsford; the cold war roles of the airfield at Harrington with the Thor rockets; and the Royal Observer Corps.
