DESCRIPTION:Visit to Cannon Hall starting at Dearne Valley Farm pub with a run at 10.00 am to Cannon Hall Farm to park our cars which will enable us to visit one of the many cafes for refreshment.  Whilst we are here we will have the opportunity to visit one of the many attractions which includes the museum\, walled garden\, lovely walks\, an interesting farm shop and across from the park is a garden centre.  When we leave Cannon Hall we will travel along some lovely scenic roads with some amazing views hopefully  the trees will still be in autumn colours.  We will end the day at The Bridge Inn\, Thurgoland\, a country pub offering home cooked food. \nPlease let your AC know if you are coming along.

Tyne Tees versus Scotland rounders game the equivalent to the Ashes in cricket. We need volunteers to play for our Tyne Tees area. Mick Fisher is our team captain again. Mick also will lead our Mx-5’s on route to Holy Island. \nThe causeway to Holy Island is open from 12 noon till 20.25 according to the Northumberland County Website\, Holy Island Safe Crossing times. \nOther areas are looking to join us for this event and would love to join in and play. \nYou can attend this event and travel there and back in a day or do what we have done in the past and stay at a hotel over night. \nThe Bluebell hotel\, Belford has rooms from £98 with breakfast and free cancellation until 15th August. DESCRIPTION:Book your place HERE Booking closes 6pm on Thursday July 3rd. \nStarting at The Stockyard\, Hellaby (because the grubs better !) at 9:15\, leaving at 10:00\, our route takes us mainly on scenic A and B Roads north to The Fenton Café and Grill\, located deep within the former RAF Church Fenton base for our mid morning stop. \nAn unexpected bonus is that its Spitfire day at the Airport\, a commercially preserved Spitfire FR9 \,will be flying in and out\, offering a 30 Minute Spitfire flight experience in the sky’s about Leeds & York\, for those with £3350 to spare. \nFrom there we head north mainly on B roads to the York Ring Road\, shortly after passing The Highway Man Café on the A64 we will turn left into the grounds of Castle Howard and proceed past the memorial column onto the five mile straight\, then we pass through several picture postcard villages. \nThen its briefly onto the A 170 and down into Helmsley turning left onto the long private drive leading to Duncombe Park\, \nThe Steam and Vintage Rally field is on the left\, if Steam is not your thing turn right into The National Birds of Prey Centre. Car park. \nGroup Admission prices have been negotiated at both venues\, £10.00 per car at the Rally and £13.50 per person At The National Birds of Prey Centre (*see Alan for a discount voucher) \nThe suggested return route is via Helmsley\, Kirby Moorside\, Pickering\, Old Norton\, Malton\, Buttercrambe then to the A64 and M1 or A19 and M18 \nOr you could book into The Premier Inn in Pickering and go for a a curry and a pint – if the Landlady will have us back in !! \nBoth venues require numbers please register to come on this run using The Eventbrite Booking System\, the closing date is 6pm on Thursday July 3rd. \nAlan Round has kindly volunteered to lead this run. \nRoute Card Stockyard to Cafe Fenton \nRoute Card Cafe Fenton to Dunscombe Park \n

DESCRIPTION:Route Card is now  available HERE \nThe Ultimate Avro Vulcan Experience.\n\nRegister to come on this Run NOW via this LINK\n\nA unique opportunity to visit the Avro Heritage Museum where it will be possible to have a photo the Peaks and Pennines OC members cars taken under the wings of the iconic Avro Vulcan XM603\,the only Vulcan in the world to be preserved in the anti-flash white paint scheme.\nThis event has been organised by the Area Coordinators of the North West\, Peaks and Pennines\,Tyne Tees\,and Yorkshire Ridings.\n\nThe Avro Heritage Museum preserves the legacy of Alliot Verdon-Roe and his company A.V.Roe & Co. Located on the former Woodford Aerodrome\, near Stockport\, the site saw the production of famous aircraft including the Lancaster\, Vulcan\, Nimrod and BAE 146.\nThe Heritage Museum is packed with fascinating exhibits and home to the only example of an all white Vulcan bomber. \nThere are many activities on offer including a Vulcan Simulator and other hands on equipment. \nThe museum has a small cafe with views of the mighty Vulcan bomber standing proudly outside. \n\nThe museum is entirely self funded\, relying on admission fees and staffed by volunteers\, many of whom worked at Woodford. \nWe have a much reduced admission fee of only £10 per car plus voluntary contributions if using the simulator etc.\n\n\n​ Read more about this Historic Aircraft and other Attractions at The Avro Heritage Centre \nRefreshments will be available throughout the day in The Vulcan Cafe   \nThere will also be a Outdoor Catering Van on the car park \nThe Aviator Inn is on the roundabout before the museum approach road\, there  is also a Garden Centre nearby which has an excellent restaurant and menu to suit all. \nThe group from the Peaks and Pennines Area will meet at Moorlands\, Owler Bar S17 at 9:0 leaving at 9:45\, the anticipated arrival time at Avro  is arounds 11:00 \nBookings for this Event will close on the Friday before the event or when the ticket capacity is reached \nPlease study the clubs Good Driving Guide before coming on a run \nSee some of the places we plan to visit (or revisit) \nThe Route Card is now  available HERE\, please print it out and bring a hard copy with you\, reading the route from a tablet or similar is not acceptable.  This is a Health and Safety requirement;; \nAs Comfort Stops that are able to take the numbers of cars we are attracting on our runs are difficult to find\, we would ask members to buy something at each venue\, be it only a cuppa\, a buttie or a piece of cake.

DESCRIPTION:Subject to there being sufficient interest – \nPeaks and Peninens return to Llanerchindda Farm April 2025 \nAfter a very enjoyable mid week break in 2024 organised by Martin and Anne Barnes;; we are pleased to announce that we have been offered a mid week break in April 2025 \nTwenty Three places are available;; unfortunately there is only one single room \nRegister your interest now;; priority will be given to the members who were unsuccessful in getting places  on this years visit.. \nA bit more about Llanerchindda Farm – \nWTB 3 Star Guest Accommodation \nWe offer comfortable accommodation in the Guest House and all bedrooms are en-suite with private shower and toilet. \nThe rooms have colour televisions;; beverage trays;; hair dryers and are all centrally heated. \nThe lounge;; dining room and bar provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in which to unwind after a day enjoying the Welsh countryside. \nOur lounge has a cosy log fire to keep you warm on those chilly winter evenings;; and our  Garden Room and terrace are ideal for those long summer nights;; with stunning views down the valley to the viaduct;; the Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons beyond. \nBreakfast is served between 8.00 and 9.00am each morning. \nDinner is normally served at 7.30pm and consists of a 3-course set farmhouse-style menu. \nPacked lunches can be arranged on request. \nFor further details about the restaurant;; please look at the restaurant page under guest accommodation. \nWe have free Wi Fi internet access available in the hotel accommodation and self-catering cottages \nWe have carried out a lot of work on our small lake;; putting in a summer house with decking overlooking the lake. It’s a lovely place to go and sit and read;; to relax;; to paint;; to take pictures;; have a picnic or even to go wild water swimming. There are some lovely walks in the area as well. \nExample of Itinerary and details for Llanerchindda Classic Tour of Mid Wales: \nDay 1 \n\n\n\nArrive at Llanerchindda for afternoon tea from 4.30pm onwards\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nPimms reception to meet fellow drivers\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nThree-course evening meal at 7.30pm\n\n\n\n  \nDay 2 \n\n\n\nStart the day with a hearty Welsh breakfast.\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nRoute briefing\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nYou will then be left to take the day at your own pace as we don’t have set start times. SUMMARY:Peaks & Pennines -Sunday Run around West Yorkshire finishing at the Sea Fish Restaurant\, Conisborough
DESCRIPTION:This is a 60 mile run starting from the Elsecar Heritage Centre. As this is a short winter jaunt. \nWe will be meeting at 10:00am in the heritage overflow car park\, where places are reserved \nWe will depart at 11;00. \nThe plan is to have 45-50 mins for people to have a bit of an explore of the centre\, there are 2 cafe’s where you could\nhave a drink or late breakfast before getting out on the run \nPlease note that due to building work we are unable to park outside the Building 21 as originally planned\, we have reserved parking in the Overflow car park\, The cafe’s and other attractions are unaffected by the work\, we are only there for a short time before setting off. \nAt 11:00am\, We will head out in to the Pennines north of Sheffield and around to a halfway stop\nfor a tea or coffee at Waterton Park Golf Club at Walton. \nAfter the break we will run around the edge of Pontefract and Barnsley\, finishing up just outside\nDoncaster at Conisborough for approximately 14:20pm. \nIt’s definitely a run of 2 halves\, with the a different feel to the roads in either half. \nThe finish venue is the Galleon Bar & Grill at the Sea Fish\, where they do a marvellous Sunday\nLunch Menu with 2 courses for £12.99 or 3 courses for £15:50. \nThis will need to be pre-booked\, a menu is below and the choices will be on Eventbrite when booking on  the run. \nLink to Menu   \nEventbrite Link to Book onto this Sunday Run  \nTo enable Simon to pre order food at The Sea Fish\, booking will close at 12 mid night after the Wednesday 5th Social Meeting \nLink to Part 1 of the Run            Link to Part 2 of the Run
