Tyne Tees versus Scotland rounders game the equivalent to the Ashes in cricket. We need volunteers to play for our Tyne Tees area. Mick Fisher is our team catain again. Mick also will lead our Mx-5’s on route to Holy Island. \nThe causeway to Holy Island is open from 12 noon till 20.25 according to the Northumberland County Website\, Holy Island Safe Crossing times. \nOther areas are looking to join us for this event and would love to join in and play. \nYou can attend this event and travel there and back in a day or do what we have done in the past and stay at a hotel over night. \nThe Bluebell hotel\, Belford has rooms from £98 with breakfast and free cancellation until 15th August. Book your room now as this is going to be a very popular event. Mick Fisher is sorting out with the Bluebell Hotel an evening meal on Sunday night. DESCRIPTION:This is our third Charity event which we will be held at S.G. Petch and is one of the favourite events of many MX-5 Owners Club Tyne Tees members enjoy most. This event is open to non members as well. Last year we raised £800 which was divided equally between 2 charities The Teesside hospice and The British Heart Foundation\, these 2 charities were picked by our Tyne Tees members. This Year we will be donating to our 6 nominated area charities. \nThe event will again be held at S.G. Petch dealership\, Mc Mullen Road\, Darlington. DL1 1XZ \nThis event is on Saturday 26th July and starts at 9.30am. We will have the usual fund raising events. A Raffle with many great prizes. Food and soft drinks all provided by S.G. Petch. \nAt 12 noon we will start our events run and depending on numbers will be split into 3 or 4 groups. Tulip maps will be available on the day. We will end this event at the Middlesbrough District Motor Club were if weather and ground permits we will show our cars on the club grassed area. \nThis event has not got to be missed. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:After a meeting with the Middlesbrough District Motor Club chairman and a couple of the clubs committee we were asked about having an Open day at the club. The club can get to know us and visa versa. We propose to have our MX-5s on show in the grounds and a picnic by our cars weather permitting. The members of the club will also be invited to come along to the club and look at our cars. We will meet and greet at approximately 12 noon on Sunday 8th June at the club. Everyone is welcome\, Children and grandchildren included. You can still put your name down to attend this event. \nGary Parker has kindly offered to organise and lead this event. \nWe will meet and Greet at Raby Castle for Tea / Coffee and a breakfast sandwich at 9am (Optional) \nFor the members who are not having breakfast at Raby Castle Meet and Greet at 9.30am \nThe run will start at 10am\, we will be heading North on mainly “C” roads towards Hamsterley before heading West and stopping at the Dales Centre Stanhope for a comfort break. A second comfort break at Garrigill before heading over to Heartside Pass. We will hug the edge of the pennines (weather permitting) for the fine views of Cross Fell / High Nick before heading back to Staindrop and Raby Castle. \nRaby Castle Catering. \nBreakfast sandwich with tea / coffee £9.00 \nCream tea   tea / coffee with Cream Scone £8.50 \nRaby Castle would like our final numbers for catering 8 weeks in advance \nWe are asking members who wish to go on this event and request the breakfast sandwich with tea / coffee and the afternoon tea and cream tea for £17.50 per person to pay for this at least 4 weeks in advance. (The Stonehenge of the North) before continuing onto the Swinton Estate. We will stop for a comfort break at High Knowle. (Car parking charge could apply) The Druids Temple is a folly on the estate and is a 10 minute walk from the car park. From here we intend to head to Reeth where we can have a picnic or visit one of the many pubs for lunch. Our final leg will take us through the Stang Forrest and over the Tees past Egglestone Abbey before arriving for an ice cream at New Moor Farm. Membership card is good or a MX-5 Owners Club business card (You can get that from Brian Crowther at the Scotch Corner meet & Greet) \nWe also need to buy food for this event as I have been told Catering is slow inside the Avro. \nWe aim to arrive at the Avro for 10.45am on Sunday 27th April. \nThere is a photograph opportunity to have photographs taken with our cars underneath a Vulcan bomber wing. There is a charge for the photograph. \nThis is a multi Area event with Yorkshire Ridings;; Peaks and Pennines;; North West. \nTimes for leaving Avro still to be arranged. \n  \nMacclesfield North Premier Inn is £120 for the Saturday night stay.
