SUMMARY:Milton Keynes & Chilterns – Hellfire Caves Run
DESCRIPTION:This run is approx. 49 miles (1hr 45mins)\, meet at 10.00 to leave at 10.30 from our normal starting point of Popular Garden Centre to The Hellfire Caves\, West Wycombe HP14 3AH. \nParking would be down the road (5 minute slight uphill walk) at West Wycombe Garden Centre Car Park\, Chorley Road as there is very limited parking at the caves. I think the cost is £4.50 \nThe caves take around 1 hour to explore and cost £9.50 (£8.00 for concession) each\, there is also café on site. Tickets for the caves will need to be booked on line before the run and can be booked in 1 hour slots and takes around 1 hour to explore the caves\, no charge to just use just the café. \nPLEASE CONFIRM ATTENDANCE by either putting ‘Going’ on Facebook Group or using this e-mail mkchiltern@mx5o5.co.uk \n

DESCRIPTION:This event is organised by Rod & Mandy and takes us to “The 1950’s Museum” \nMeeting at Chester services on the M56\, 09:45am for a 10:15 start\, we drive through the Cheshire lanes into Wales and onto The 1950’s Museum which is on the outskirts of Denbigh\, LL16 4SU. A reduced club entry fee of £5.50 per head has been negotiated\, tea or coffee £1. DESCRIPTION:September Drive. A Meander from Boats to Buses\n\n\nPlans are in-hand for the September Drive on Sunday\, 28th September 2025. We’ll be starting at Upton-upon-Severn Marina where teas/coffees and bacon rolls etc. will be available and making our way to the Wythall Transport Museum https://www.wythall.org.uk where we’ll have the chance to display our cars and enjoy the exhibition and maybe have a ride on a bus.\n\n\nEntry to the Museum for Car and Driver is free; passenger admission price is £5. The Museum has a cafeteria that serves basic hot food\, but for those who would prefer a Sunday Roast\, a local pub\, the Coach & Horses\nhttps://www.coachandhorsesinn.co.uk/\nwill be happy to accommodate us at 3.00pm. Please note: the pub needs our menu choices in advance\, and a £5 deposit per person is required. Then a slight double back via Glenuig to Castle Tioram before ending up in Strontian. \nDinner and overnight stay in the Strontian Hotel. \nSunday 28th September \nWe will head out to the Ardnamurchan lighthouse\, and Sanna Bay. Then we will head back taking in a few stops on the way.

DESCRIPTION:Hi Everyone\, \nFor our last evening drive before British Summer Time ends and the clocks go back\, we are heading off via the New Forest for a lovely drive to “The Bear at Burton”\, kindly suggested\, along with a scenic drive route\, by Roy & Vicki Newman. \nMany thanks to all who submitted suggestions of where to drive to and have supper on the 24th Septmeber\, these have not been ignored but have been kept\, so we can use them for future drives out\, as we like to post drives and events that you suggest…..so keep those suggestions coming ? \nRoy has come up with the route\, which we have both “fine tuned” and it is now good to go ? \nI have rung The Bear at Burton and spoke to a very helpful lady called Claire who was very helpful and booked a table for 20 max in the library\, which has doors that open out on to a covered area\, so if the weather is nice we can be nice and cool ? \n***PLEASE NOTE THAT BOOKINGS WILL BE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS UNTIL WE REACH OUR MAXIMUM NUMBER OF 20 PEOPLE*** \nThe details for the drive\, is as follows; \nRendezvous Point: Morrisons\, Totton\, Spruce Drive\, Totton\, Southampton SO40 8AD \nRendezvous Time: 18:00 (Ready for a swift departure at 18:30 prompt) \nArrival time at venue: 19:30/19:45 (table is booked for 19:45) \nPlease note upon leaving to go home after the event\, there is a quicker route along the B3347\, which is more direct up to the A31 (29 mins) at Ringwood and from here you can proceed East or West on the M27 to return home\, as desired ? \nThe venue has requested meal choices up front and have finally today\, 5th September\, and just sent me the latest menu\, after i chased them twice.
