SUMMARY:Highland & Moray - Braemar Run
DESCRIPTION:Meeting at 10.30am on Sunday 4th May in DFS Car park Inverness. \nWe will then head south on the A9 before cutting off to head for Tomintoul via Carrbridge and Grantown-on-Spey. \nThose of you from Moray can meet us in Grantown-on-Spey to save you coming across to Inverness in the morning (the big lay-bys on the bypass are a good meeting point) \nAfter a short break in Tomintoul it will be over the Lecht and onto Braemar where we will try and schedule lunch. \nReturn route will be similar\, but on these great roads with stunning scenery that will be no hardship. \nEstmated driving time from Inverness to Braemar is 2.5 hours there\, and the same back\, total route distance approx 215 miles.

SUMMARY:Highland & Moray – Tain Vintage Car Rally
DESCRIPTION:  \nTain Classic Car Show – final instructions \nThe Tain Vintage Car Rally takes place on Sunday 22nd June\, and we have a club stand for this event. At the moment we have twelve cars attending the event\, and the list is below. Please check and ensure you are on the list as we need to have individual event passes for all cars to access the showground. However\, there is still time to join us just drop us an email or register on the event section of our Facebook page if you want to come along. \nWe will aim to meet up in the Asda car park in Tain at 9am on Sunday 22nd June where exhibitor passes will be distributed. We will then proceed to the showground in convoy no later than 9.15. If for any reason you have to cancel on the day then please let me know on 07853 941742. \nNormally the marshals are very good and just wave us into the showground and direct us to our allocated space.  Once in we will then take a little time to position the cars appropriately for the space provided. This year we have a new club shelter and banners\, so some volunteers are always appreciated to get these up. All the club stands are judged so we always like to make a good impression. \nEverything needs to be setup for 10am as that is when the event opens to the public. There are always loads of things to see at this show from classic cars \, motorcycles and many clubs in attendance. A unique feature of Tain is the opportunity to drive around the showring and tell everybody about your cars. \nAt the end of the event everybody is invited back to our house which is only 10 mins south of Tain (postcode IV18 0SF or clerics.vision.fidgeted on what3words). Gillian will be preparing some light refreshments for everybody. We appreciate that many people are travelling from far and wide to attend this event\, so it is our way of thanking you for supporting the club before you all head home. \nCurrent list of cars attending \n1/ Charles Sinclair \n2/ Bobby Sinclair \n3/ Stuart Macdonald \n4/ Jenni Hodgson \n5/ Eric Jones \n6/ Sandy Boreland \n7/ Shannon Marley \n8/ Robert Cormack \n9/ Neil Fuller \n10/ Ralph Luck \n11/ Lois Gray \n12/ Robin Duff \nLook forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

SUMMARY:Highland & Moray – Lochinver ‘Pie Shop’ Run
DESCRIPTION:Bobby & Debbie Sinclair are organising a run up to the famous Lochinver Larder (otherwise known as the Pie Shop!). Please note that as this business is closed on a Sunday that this will be a Saturday run. \n\n\nWe will meet up at the Asda Superstore in Tain\, with a departure time of 10.30am. We will take the direct route up to Lochinver which will be west on the B949/ A836 to Invershin before turning left onto the A837 which takes us up to Lochinver. \n\n\nAfter lunch we will then have a run around a road known localy as ‘The Wee Mad Road’. This used to form part of the NC500 route but was removed as it simply couldn’t cope with the traffic. The road is the B869 and it passes by some fantastic beaches and takes in the likes of Clachtoll and Drumbeg. We come out just south of Kylesku and will head north across the bridge. Once we reach Laxford Bridge we will turn west onto the A838 and head back to Tain via Lairg. \n\n\nTotal milage will be approx. 190 miles with 5 hours of driving. \n\nYou can join us for the entire route\, part of it\, or even just meet us for a pie in Lochinver

SUMMARY:Highland & Moray – A Trip to the Most Remote Pub in the UK
DESCRIPTION:Bobby & Debbie are planning an expedition to visit the most remote pub in the UK which is situated in Inverie on the Knoydart Peninsula. \nThere are no roads to reach ‘The Old Forge’ pub\, and the only way in is either a 15 mile hike\, or a drive up to Mallaig and get the passenger ferry across to Knoydart. You will be glad to know we intend to drive and take the ferry! \nThis will be an overnight run with accommodation in\, or around Mallaig. At this stage we are gauging interest to see how many people would be interested in going so we can check out the accommodation options. \nThe run outline would be to meet in the Drumnadrochit car park at 09.30 on Saturday 11th April. We will then head west to Fort William\, and onto Mallaig. We should have enough time for some lunch before catching the ferry to Inverie at 2.15pm. This gets us across to Knoydart for 3pm. We will then have 3.5 hours across in Inverie where you can visit the cafe\, pub \, shops etc. \nThe last ferry leaves at 6.30pm\, and this will get us back into Mallaig where we will head for the hotel and dinner. \nOn Sunday 12th we can have a leisurely breakfast before getting back into the cars again. We are still looking around various options for an interesting drive back west. \nDrop us a message or email if you want to join the expedition.

We will be asking all those that wish to participate to prepay for the activity directly with the Quad company before the end of April.
