SUMMARY:North West – Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks Drive
DESCRIPTION:Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks Drive\n\nThis drive of 95 miles takes us into the scenic Yorkshire Dales via Ribblehead Viaduct and the three Yorkshire peaks\, Whernside\, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent.\n\nMeeting 10.00am for a 10.30am start at McDonald’s\, A59\, Holm Road\, BB7 9WF\, near Clitheroe.\n\nWe begin the drive heading toward Skipton on the A59 then turn off to Sawley. We continue to Wigglesworth and on through Rathmell and Clapham.\nOn the outskirts of Ingleton we join the B6255 to Hawes. I believe this 15 mile stretch is one of the best scenic roads in the UK\, passing Ribblehead Viaduct (good spot for a photo shoot) and Whernside\, the highest of the three peaks at 2\,415ft.\n\nWe have lunch in Hawes where there are many eateries including The Wensleydale Creamery\, a selection of pubs and the Wensleydale Pantry.\nThe Wensleydale Pantry on Market Place (above the Spar shop) is ideal for a Sunday Roast and home cooking but you need to book a table individually by telephone 01969 667202. We should arrive in Hawes approximately 12noon. I recommend you book for 12.30pm. We leave Hawes at 2.00pm.\nHope you had the chance to top up with cheese at the creamery.\n\nLeaving Hawes we drive back to Ribblehead Viaduct (also the source of River Ribble)\, then drive through Horton-in-Ribblesdale passing the other two peaks\, Ingleborough 2\,372ft and Pen-y-Ghent 2\,277ft.\nWe continue through Settle and Long Preston to rejoin the A59 at Gisburn. The drive ends at the Bluebird Inn on the A59 facing BAE\, postcode BB2 7LE.\n\nHope you can join us for a drink before we say our farewells and head our separate ways home.\n\n\nTulip maps are available below and on our Facebook page. \nYorkshire Dales Three Peaks Drive

DESCRIPTION:Friday 21st March 2025:   Meal at The Pudding Club Mickleton \nVenue: The Pudding Club\, Mickleton\, GL55 6SB\nTime: 18:30 latest\nAt the last meeting Gavin indicated that he would like to visit the Pudding Club which is held at the Three Ways Hotel in Mickleton\, not far from Evesham. He has booked for Friday 21/3 and if anyone would like to join us they would be most welcome to do so. I will attach a link to the hotel \nEnjoy a whole evening’s entertainment starting with a glass of Bucks Fizz and a jovial introduction by The Pudding Master followed by a light main course of either Chicken\, Fish or our Vegetarian option and then the Parade of Seven Traditional Puddings\, with all its noise and ceremony\, the aim is to taste them all and then to vote for your favourite pudding of the night over coffee. Guests depart certificates in hand! \nThe cost of an evening at the Pudding Club® is £47.95 per guest\, booking is essential. To create a fun and informal atmosphere guests sit together on larger tables. Pudding Club® can only be booked direct. DESCRIPTION:* Please Note: We have changed the start location for this run \nThis is a run of approx 53 Miles from The Grand Junction Arms Pub (Car Park)\, Bulbourne Nr Tring HP23 5QE to Mursley Farm Shop\nOliver’s Field\, Whaddon Rd\, Mursley\, Milton Keynes MK17 0PL. \nFull written instructions will be provided along with a GPX file for use with a GPS App (e.g. BikeGPX) \nFor those wishing to have breakfast before we depart\, the Pub opens at 09:30 and we have booked 12 places from 10:00\, so please let me know if you wish to have breakfast / Brunch / Coffee as it can get very busy. \nWe will assemble at 10:00 for those having breakfast and 11:15 for those who are not breakfasting\, with a proposed departure time of 12:00. \nOur destination is the Mursley Farm Shop where we will have a late lunch / cake etc. at 14:30. We have arranged a small area for us\, and we’ll need to have numbers in advance to ensure we can let the manager know\, as the Cafe can get very busy.

It closes at 5pm and dogs are welcome on short leads.\nSensible footwear is strongly recommended. The Garden itself was built in a hidden valley almost 300 years ago. Paths can be both a bit steep and uneven. The steepest slopes all have handrails\, and there are 45 benches dotted around the Garden for if/when you need to rest. The Yorkshire Air Museum has informed us they are expecting a large number of people to be at the Museum so packed lunches may be a better option than using the naffe. \nAndrew Chaplin has kindly offered to organise and lead an event to the Yorkshire Air Museum on Sunday 23rd March. \nAdmission to Yorkshire Air Museum is £15 per person. \nTo sit in a cockpit and explained some of the controls etc is £7 per person. \nMeet & Greet at the Anson Farm at 9.30am for a 10am event start. \nThe Yorkshire Air Museum has a special rate for groups of over 10 vehicles of £12 per vehicle + 1 driver\,  additional passenger £12 \nThe route tullip map issued on the day.
