Sainsbury’s is next door for purchasing a packed lunch. \nSaturday 21st June Event Route. \nApproximately 97 miles \nMeet and Greet 9.30am outside the Premier Inn. New Squares\, 2 Common Gardens Square\, Penrith CA11 7FG. for a 10am start. Route maps will be available on the day. \nStop 1.         10 minute Comfort Break at The Oddfellows Arms\, Calbeck CA7 8EB \nStop 2.         30minute Tea/Coffee break at Lake District Castle Inn. Bassenthwaite. Keswick. CA12 4RG. \nStop 3.        45 minte Lunch break. Honister Slate Mine. Honister Pass. Keswick CA12 5XN. There is no parking charge for our group. We will then proceed to the showground in convoy no later than 9.15. If for any reason you have to cancel on the day then please let me know on 07853 941742. \nNormally the marshals are very good and just wave us into the showground and direct us to our allocated space.  Once in we will then take a little time to position the cars appropriately for the space provided. This year we have a new club shelter and banners\, so some volunteers are always appreciated to get these up. All the club stands are judged so we always like to make a good impression. \nEverything needs to be setup for 10am as that is when the event opens to the public. There are always loads of things to see at this show from classic cars \, motorcycles and many clubs in attendance. A unique feature of Tain is the opportunity to drive around the showring and tell everybody about your cars. \nAt the end of the event everybody is invited back to our house which is only 10 mins south of Tain (postcode IV18 0SF or clerics.vision.fidgeted on what3words). Gillian will be preparing some light refreshments for everybody. DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce the MX-5 Owners Club\, North West Area\, will be displaying a selection of members cars at the Classic and Performance Motor Show\, Hoghton Tower\, Preston\, on Sunday 29th June 2025. \nThe North West will have a stand on the lawns facing the iconic Hoghton Tower which has played host to King James 1st\, Dickens and Shakespeare. This will be our first show at Hoghton Towers although we have exhibited at other shows organised by the Great British Motor Shows in the past\, being at Lytham Hall and Leighton Hall\, each have been very successful. \nWe will be showing 10 cars from Mk 1 (NA) through to RF. The show will have a huge selection of classic and performance cars which may remind you of your youthful years and could be very nostalgic if maybe you once owned a particular model on show. \nYou should be guaranteed a great day out.
