DESCRIPTION:This will be our 3rd ‘Wiltshire Weekend’. \nThe weekend starts with a run\, with a comfort break half way\, down to a Lunch location (tba) in Wiltshire. \nAfter lunch we embark on a 2nd run with an end destination of Marlborough.  For those staying overnight\, most will use the the Premier Inn in Marlborough. but that is entirely up to individuals. \nWe have an evening BBQ planned for Saturday at our former members (Judith and Alastair) house in Marlborough (5mins from the Premier Inn). \nAfter breakfast we’ll do a 3rd run to a lunch location (tba) before making our individual ways the rest of the way home. \nMore details will be available nearer the time. However\, if you wish to stay over it is best to get your rooms booked early.

DESCRIPTION:This is our Annual Late Summer BBQ & Car Show specifically for members of the Milton Keynes & Chilterns Area. \nThe cost of the BBQ is £15 pp \nThere is a small entrance fee of £5 to cover the costs of the Car Show Rosettes and the hire of the Marque for the evening. \nThe cars show is specifically ‘The Best Kept’ car in it’s category (NA\, NB\, NC & ND) so age is taken into account. SUMMARY:North West – Hardknott Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Wrynose / Hardknott Challenge – Organised by Phil & Nick \nMeet at Carnforth Truck Haven LA5 9RG    10:00am for a 10:30 start \nThis run has challenging sections throughout\, the second and third sections have narrow\, winding and steep roads. Members are responsible for their own vehicle and should drive within their capabilities and with care. \nThe first section of the run is 32 miles and will take approx 1 hour. \nLeaving the Truck Stop this is a beautiful drive up the A6\, through the Lyth Valley\, Bowland Bridge and along the shore of Lake Windermere\, travelling through Bowness to Hayes Garden World in Ambleside. (LA22 0DW). Here there is plenty of free parking for a 45 minute comfort break with cafe and toilets available. \nThe second section is 22 miles and will take approx 1.5 hours. \nLeaving Hayes Garden World we will drive through Ambleside heading toward Keswick\, turning off to Grassmere Village and then travelling through the scenic Great Langdale Valley passing the spectacular Langdale Pikes leading onto the Wrynose and Hardknott Passes. This offers a challenging and exhilarating drive for both driver and passenger!! \nArriving at Dalegarth Station in Boot (CA19 1TG) for 1.5 hour lunch break. \nParking at the station is £4 (cash or card). Reserved parking can be arranged and also tables for those requiring a cafe lunch. The cafe has requested approx numbers\, so could people please indicate if they wish to have lunch by contacting Nick\, by text on 07779 402806 or email on nickslack17@hotmail.co.uk \nThe third section is 37 miles and will take approx 1 hour. \nLeaving Dalegarth Station we travel over the rugged Birker Fell through Ulpha and onto the A595 and A590 to finish at Gilpin Bridge Inn (LA8 8EP) \nWe hope everyone enjoys the run and can join us for a drink. HG3 5SB \nApprox another 30 minutes drive another break at Stump Cross Caverns HG3 5JL. There is no parking charges & we will stop for a tea break. \napprox 75 to 90 minutes of driving arrive at Guys Thatched Hamlet\, should arrive 1.30pm ish \nAfter lunch we will make our way to the Wilton at Blackpool. \n  \nWe have negociated with The Wilton Hotel (b & b) at Blackpool a long week end stay. The same place we stayed at in 2024. \nFriday 5th September till Monday 8th September. \nBed\, Breakfast and evening meal with secure car parking. They only have 14 rooms and we only have 2 double rooms left so book your place ASAP \nSunday 7th September there will be the oportunity to go to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom for afternoon tea and dance. \n
