SUMMARY:Highland & Moray – North West Loop
DESCRIPTION:If you enjoy magnificent mountains\, graceful Lochs\, stunning beaches and great driving roads then join us for a loop on the northwest coast at the end May. \nWe will meet up at Asda Tain and then head off to Lairg for brunch. \nThen we will head northwest along Loch Shin\, Loch Merkland\, Loch More and Loch Stack before arriving at Laxford Bridge. Then it is north up to Durness and lunch. \nAfter lunch we will head east around Loch Eribol and onto Tongue with the obligatory photo stop on the causeway across the Kyle of Tongue. \nThen we head south on the A836 back to Lairg and then head south across the Stuie to join the A9 at Evanton. \nThis route is 180 miles and 4.5 hours driving time. However\, if it is a nice day\, it will take a lot longer as we take in the amazing scenery. \nBoth you and your MX-5 will be smiling after this one!!

DESCRIPTION:This run is being organised by Jo and Allan Diamond. \nWe will leave Truck Haven at 10.15 (route now available below and also on our Facebook page) and travel through Wray\, Dunsop Bridge\, Newton-in-Bowland and Cow Ark to the Cross Keys at White Chapel. After lunch we will make one circle of the Beacon Fell Country Park before travelling on to Slaidburn\, Tosside\,and High Bentham before stopping for a break at the Bridge Cafe in Wray. \nIf you require lunch at the Cross Keys\, there are only 40 places available so allocation will be on a first come first served basis. (the menu is below and on the “File” tab on our Facebook page) You must email ‘joandald@aol.com’ with your menu choice to be part of the 40 before 5 pm on Thursday the 29th May. DESCRIPTION:After a meeting with the Middlesbrough District Motor Club chairman and a couple of the clubs committee we were asked about having an Open day at the club. The club can get to know us and visa versa. We propose to have our MX-5s on show in the grounds and a picnic by our cars weather permitting. The members of the club will also be invited to come along to the club and look at our cars. We will meet and greet at approximately 12 noon on Sunday 8th June at the club. Everyone is welcome\, Children and grandchildren included. DESCRIPTION:A run taking in some beautiful scenery around Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Full details will be posted two weeks prior to the event. \nStart at Oil Can Cafe\, Holmfirth. HD9 2RD at 10.00am for a 10.30am start. Approximately 43 miles to a comfort stop at Blaze Farm\, Wildboarclough. SK11 0BL.  The final leg is through Derbyshire\, taking in Buxton\, Monsal Head and Ladybower reservoir. This section is approximately 65 miles and finishes at Wooley Edge services M1 Northbound. WF4 4LQ. \nThis run is in memory of one of our members who sadly passed away last year and there will be a collection in aid of St. Gemma’s Hospice who cared for him in his final days. \nIf attending please email me at yorkshireridings@mx5oc.co.uk \nThis event is just for the day and not for a week as the website seems to think!

SUMMARY:Central Scotland - June Drive - Stirling to Port Appin
DESCRIPTION:Starting centrally in Stirling\, the route takes in Crianlarich and Glencoe en route to Port Appin for lunch at the Pierhouse Cafe. \nThen we follow the road south and over the Connel Bridge and take in Inveraray and Loch Awe\, past Loch Lomond before heading east at Balloch. It’s just over 200 miles in total and takes in some spectacular scenery and driving roads! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Pierhouse\, Port Appin\nProposing to stop at The Pierhouse for soup/sarnie lunch around 12.15pm. \nMenu looks amazing\, so you may wish to splurge!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProposed Route and Timings\nIt’s a full day of driving to take in the route\, so timings noted below for those who want to join/leave part-way through.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet at Dobbies Garden Centre\, Stirling at 9.15am for a 9.30am departure.\nCrianlarch Hotel will be passed around 10.30am\nGlencoe Village around 11.30am\nArrive at Port Appin around 12 noon\nLeave Port Appin at 2pm\nThrough Inveraray at 3.15pm\nTurn left at Balloch about 4.15pm\nArriving back at Stirling around 5pm\n\nAll above is dependent on traffic\, of coure!
