DESCRIPTION:Our Club Social Meetings are held at The Rockingham Arms\, Wentworth S62 7TL and held in The Restaurant; which we have the exclusive use of\, and is accessed in the main building. DESCRIPTION:Sorry this run is now fully booked\, with a waiting list \n\nThis run will start at Moorlands\, Owler Bar S17\, at 9:15 for 10:00 start\, the route would be via Baslow\, Bakewell\, pass Haddon Hall\, Winster\, Grangemill\, Longcliffe\, Fenny Bentley\, Ashbourne\, to the Fairways Garden Centre for our mid morning break then onto Sudbury\, Barton under Needlewood\, Walton on Trent\, Croxall\, Edingale\, Lullington\, Nether Seal then onto The Moira Furnace Country Park.\n\nBrent and Gill  have volunteered to lead the run.\n\nAs we need to give numbers to the venues before the event\, please register to come on this run using this Link The cut off time for booking is the Thursday before the event at 8pm\n\nA  link to the route card is now HERE\n\n\nMembers (and prospective members) are welcome to join or leave an any point\, please let the leader know if you intend to do this so we are not waiting for you\, and if you are leaving mid route\, ensure that the cars behind know you are leaving the convoy\,  or you may find you have  extra guests at your house for tea !!!! \nPlease study the clubs Good Driving Guide before coming on a run. \nSee some of the places we plan to visit (or revisit) \n\n\nAs venues that are able to take the numbers of cars we are attracting on our runs are difficult to find\, we  ask members to buy something at each venue\, be it only a cuppa\, a buttie or a piece of cake.\n

DESCRIPTION:Subject to there being sufficient interest – \nPeaks and Peninens return to Llanerchindda Farm April 2025 \nAfter a very enjoyable mid week break in 2024 organised by Martin and Anne Barnes;; we are pleased to announce that we have been offered a mid week break in April 2025 \nTwenty Three places are available;; unfortunately there is only one single room \nRegister your interest now;; priority will be given to the members who were unsuccessful in getting places  on this years visit.. \nA bit more about Llanerchindda Farm – \nWTB 3 Star Guest Accommodation \nWe offer comfortable accommodation in the Guest House and all bedrooms are en-suite with private shower and toilet. \nThe rooms have colour televisions;; beverage trays;; hair dryers and are all centrally heated. \nThe lounge;; dining room and bar provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in which to unwind after a day enjoying the Welsh countryside. \nOur lounge has a cosy log fire to keep you warm on those chilly winter evenings;; and our  Garden Room and terrace are ideal for those long summer nights;; with stunning views down the valley to the viaduct;; the Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons beyond. \nBreakfast is served between 8.00 and 9.00am each morning. \nDinner is normally served at 7.30pm and consists of a 3-course set farmhouse-style menu. \nPacked lunches can be arranged on request. \nFor further details about the restaurant;; please look at the restaurant page under guest accommodation. \nWe have free Wi Fi internet access available in the hotel accommodation and self-catering cottages \nWe have carried out a lot of work on our small lake;; putting in a summer house with decking overlooking the lake. It’s a lovely place to go and sit and read;; to relax;; to paint;; to take pictures;; have a picnic or even to go wild water swimming. There are some lovely walks in the area as well. \nExample of Itinerary and details for Llanerchindda Classic Tour of Mid Wales: \nDay 1 \n\n\n\nArrive at Llanerchindda for afternoon tea from 4.30pm onwards\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nPimms reception to meet fellow drivers\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nThree-course evening meal at 7.30pm\n\n\n\n  \nDay 2 \n\n\n\nStart the day with a hearty Welsh breakfast.\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nRoute briefing\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nYou will then be left to take the day at your own pace as we don’t have set start times. DESCRIPTION:Route Card is now  available HERE \nThe Ultimate Avro Vulcan Experience.\n\nRegister to come on this Run NOW via this LINK\n\nA unique opportunity to visit the Avro Heritage Museum where it will be possible to have a photo the Peaks and Pennines OC members cars taken under the wings of the iconic Avro Vulcan XM603\,the only Vulcan in the world to be preserved in the anti-flash white paint scheme.\nThis event has been organised by the Area Coordinators of the North West\, Peaks and Pennines\,Tyne Tees\,and Yorkshire Ridings.\n\nThe Avro Heritage Museum preserves the legacy of Alliot Verdon-Roe and his company A.V.Roe & Co. Located on the former Woodford Aerodrome\, near Stockport\, the site saw the production of famous aircraft including the Lancaster\, Vulcan\, Nimrod and BAE 146.\nThe Heritage Museum is packed with fascinating exhibits and home to the only example of an all white Vulcan bomber. \nThere are many activities on offer including a Vulcan Simulator and other hands on equipment. \nThe museum has a small cafe with views of the mighty Vulcan bomber standing proudly outside. \n\nThe museum is entirely self funded\, relying on admission fees and staffed by volunteers\, many of whom worked at Woodford. \nWe have a much reduced admission fee of only £10 per car plus voluntary contributions if using the simulator etc.\n\n\n​ Read more about this Historic Aircraft and other Attractions at The Avro Heritage Centre \nRefreshments will be available throughout the day in The Vulcan Cafe   \nThere will also be a Outdoor Catering Van on the car park \nThe Aviator Inn is on the roundabout before the museum approach road\, there  is also a Garden Centre nearby which has an excellent restaurant and menu to suit all. \nThe group from the Peaks and Pennines Area will meet at Moorlands\, Owler Bar S17 at 9:0 leaving at 9:45\, the anticipated arrival time at Avro  is arounds 11:00 \nBookings for this Event will close on the Friday before the event or when the ticket capacity is reached \nPlease study the clubs Good Driving Guide before coming on a run \nSee some of the places we plan to visit (or revisit) \nThe Route Card is now  available HERE\, please print it out and bring a hard copy with you\, reading the route from a tablet or similar is not acceptable.  This is a Health and Safety requirement;; \nAs Comfort Stops that are able to take the numbers of cars we are attracting on our runs are difficult to find\, we would ask members to buy something at each venue\, be it only a cuppa\, a buttie or a piece of cake.
